Hello! I am an attorney based in Chicago and I specialize in entertainment, trademark, copyright, and business law. My focus on these areas of law serve my purpose of representing artists, musicians, athletes, as well as small business owners.

My interests in art and creativity began in my youth, joining my school band in the fifth grade. From there, I was hooked on music. Once I reached college, I began producing music and becoming involved in the local music scene in Chicago. During the last decade, I have been heavily involved in the Chicago entertainment and music industries. I have built Dawsey Law, LLC to serve creative and innovative clients in order to help them navigate these industries.

A Trained Specialist in Intellectual Property and Entertainment Law

While in law school, I immersed myself in both Intellectual Property and Entertainment Law. During my coursework, I studied trademark, copyright, entertainment, and music licensing law, earning my Master of Laws in Intellectual Property Law. Additionally, I have gained experience representing clients and their Intellectual Property with respect to the entertainment industry and small businesses through internships and as a solo attorney. My experience in Intellectual Property Law, along with my passion in music, entertainment, and art has equipped me with the skills and abilities necessary to vigorously advocate for you, your brand, your business, and your art!
